This weeks bathroom project, OMG this was a total shocker of a mess!

The above video shows the extent of damage caused from a leaking shower. The shower wall has rotted that badly, that the timber will need to be replaced as well as all the plasterboard and tiles! When all the damage has been put right, a new bathroom suite will be installed and the walls and floors completely re tiled. Please take a look at the photos below to see how the project progresses.

Below is where the shower tray used to be. You can see that the wall timbers and plaster board do not even touch the ground anymore as it has rotted away to nothing and the whole wall will need to be replaced with a new partition wall.

This bathroom suite is long over due a visit to the local tip!

The sink has been removed and the plaster board wall behind it is so rotten and damp it will need to be replaced with new plasterboard.

The radiator will be removed and relocated and eventually replaced with a shiny new chrome heated towel rail.

The finished bathroom - Job duration 9 days. You can see that I have boxed in all the ugly pipe-work and tiled over the boxings to disguise any unsightly areas. The chrome towel rail blends in very well with the shiny mosaic border and chrome taps.

Nice new chrome towel rail! The tiles are ceramic with a lovely mosaic metalic and glass border.

As per the customers request, I have installed the same electric shower but changed the shower rail and shower head for a modern chrome one.
